Wake Up & Stay Awake

God wants the entire world to be saved. However, the entire world won't be saved.

A dear friend once told me "that you would never look into the eyes of someone whom God doesn't love." And the truth in that statement is next level! Abba's heart truly is for the whole world to be saved. He loves each and every person who currently walks on earth, has walked on earth and will walk on earth. But Abba also created mankind with a will of our own.

Life is a series of choices. Like those charts - do you like the colour blue - yes or no? If yes, then this, or if no then that... The choices you make will determine the outcome.

"I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore choose life. So that you and your descendants may live." Deut 30:19

Right from the get go, we have the freedom & authority to make choices ourselves. But with that comes a responsibility. We are not free from the consequences of our choices. We can't choose death and expect life to be the outcome.

In Matt 25:1-10 we read about the parable of the 5 wise and the 5 unwise virgins who fell asleep whilst they were waiting. [I have done a blog post about that in Aug 2021 - if you want to read it, click here.] What is important to realise is that all 10 of them were virgins. It wasn't 5 virgins & 5 prostitutes. All 10 were virgins, pure and supposedly set apart. But 5 of them did not prepare sufficiently and they missed out on the marriage supper. When the trumpet sound, they woke up but they weren't ready. Abba used this parable as a foreshadow of what's to come. If we do not prepare for Yeshua's return, we will miss out on the marriage supper of the Lamb.

It truly is Abba's heart that each and every person will be saved. But we have to make the choice to walk in His ways so that the salvation can be ours.

People easily say Yeshua's work on the cross was completed and we can't do anything to save ourselves. That is the truth, no arguing that. However, if that was the case - that nothing is required from our side then it must surely mean that every person on earth will go to heaven one day - regardless of their faith convictions and how they lived whilst here on earth. Murders, rapist, extremist, false religions, everyone would be saved? And that is DEFINITELY not what the Word of God says! We all, every single person, have the opportunity to be saved! But we have a choice!

The work on the cross is completed. But I need to make a deliberate choice to live my life according to Abba's Kingdom principles. You cannot seperate His grace from His judgement. The one fulfills the other.

When we submit ourselves to Abba, He will prepare us so that we can become His Bride - awake & ready for when Yeshua returns. It requires radical change. Being part of the Bride of Yeshua requires a lifestyle that looks radical to religious people! Because religion makes you lukewarm. And Abba said in Rev 3:16 that "now that you are lukewarm, I will spit you out of My mouth."

We can't just be hearers of the Word of God. We have to be doers of His Word! Being only hearers are like waking up from your alarm in the morning but hitting snooze so that you can sleep a little longer.

Prov 24:33-34 "Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest [and daydream], Then your poverty will come as a robber, And your want like an armed man."

Rev 16:15 "Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”

Rev 3:2-3 "Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you."

Matt 24:42 "Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming."

Rev 16:18 "I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see."

We need to stay awake!!! Hearing God's Word is not enough to make you a part of His Bride! We need to listen and obey His Word. The times we are living in are the times of the trumpet of awakening. Abba is blowing the shofar to wake up His children and telling us to repent and turn back to Him. We need to wake up, get out (of the world) and wait on Yeshua's return. As we wait on His return, we enter into a lifestyle of repentance and sanctification. Washing our bridal garments in the Blood of the Lamb (through repentance) so that we can be atoned (sanctified) and be made ready for the Marriage Supper!

We cannot afford to sleep & slumber a little while longer. Because if we do, we won't be ready when Yeshua returns. He is coming for a pure and spotless Bride, a remnant whose robes have been washed in His Blood. We need to be in tune with the rhythm of His heartbeat. And we can only be in tune when we have gone through the process of purification & sanctification through Yeshua's Blood.

Blessed are those who listen and obey while we dance to the beat of Yeshua's heart! They are the sheep who know the sound of their Shepherd's voice!

We need to get out of religion and enter into intimacy with the Father, so that we can be renewed, purified, sanctified - set apart.

Abba is sounding the trumpet loud and clear! Calling His people to return to Him. Those who do not respond to the sound of the trumpet and fill their lamps with oil - will not be ready when Yeshua returns. As they will remain veiled and will not enter into intimacy with Abba.

Many people wake up when the "alarm" goes off, but hit snooze and sleep further. Abba wants us to stay awake spiritually. We should stay awake and study His Word - so that we can walk in it! The more time we spend in the Word, the more we will learn about Abba's heart and character. He will reveal hidden mysteries to us.

[Luke 8:17; Deut 29:29; Jer 33:3; Luke 12:2-3; Dan 2:22; Dan 12:9; Amos 3:7; John 15:15; 1 Cor 2:9-10; Eph 1:9; Eph 3:5; Col 1:26]

The time to sleep is over. We need to stay awake & watch. There's midnight oil available for those who stay awake. Abba will provide us with midnight oil as we leave our comfort zones, turn from our fleshly nature and abide in repentance. The more we study His Word, the more awake we will be and we will understand the times that we are living in.

Rom 13:11-14 "And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”

‭‭

Time to be passive has run out! As long as we are passive, we won't hear the sound of the trumpet. It's important to realise that NOT all will hear the trumpet! Only those who know Abba's voice and have a intimate relationship with Him will hear the sound of the trumpet.

Ps 89:15-16 "Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted."

You will have to buy your own oil. You won't be able to stand before Abba and call anyone in to state your case or piggy back on someone else's walk with Abba. Your life will be your testimony and based on that you will be judged.

When we are inclined to Abba's voice - He will teach us and train us in every season we face. He will reveal to us what is good, acceptable and perfect according to His will and His Kingdom principles. But if you compromise & become distracted with worldly things - you will miss the sound of the trumpet. Religion and the busy-ness of the world will block out the sound of the trumpet & when you afterwards stop to listen, it will be to late.

The time for sleeping is over! We need to ready ourselves, fill our lamps and stay awake! We have to let go of worldly mindsets and distractions because it will keep our ears busy and make us miss the sound of the trumpet.

If you give ear, you will hear. And when you hear with a repentant heart, you will listen. And when you listen, you will obey. And when you walk in obedience, you will hear the sound of the shofar when Abba calls.

We have to submit under Abba's Priesthood and Kingdom principles. Heaven is preparing for a war & a wedding feast!

Abba wants the entire world to be saved. But not the entire world will be saved. Repent & stay awake - so that you will be part of the Bride who prepared herself when Yeshua returns!
